As a fully qualified and insured veterinary physiotherapist, registered with the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists, and a level 3 certified small animal hydrotherapist, I'm deeply committed to the well-being of our furry companions.
At Mobilise VP, I offer a mobile physiotherapy service catering to Derbyshire and its neighbouring areas.
My journey into veterinary rehabilitation began with a personal experience. Witnessing my rabbit, Pumpkin, struggle with paralysis due to spinal damage ignited my interest in supporting such cases. Despite the rarity of neurological rehabilitation at the time, especially for rabbits, Pumpkin's resilience inspired me to delve into the field.
During my final year at Warwickshire College Group University Centre and Coventry University, I had the opportunity to work with a rehabilitation referral centre in the Midlands. Following the successful completion of my degree, I obtained my level 3 small animal hydrotherapy certification and continued working at the centre, providing physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser treatments. This experience enriched my skills as a veterinary physiotherapist and allowed me to handle diverse cases effectively. I have since worked at a large referral hospital in Derby to enhance my medical knowledge and my ability to treat cases immediately post-operatively. I also work closely with Ash Farm Hydrotherapy and Complete Canine Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy.
My focus now lies in delivering high-quality mobile physiotherapy services for dogs and other small animals in the area. I'm particularly interested in canine neurology and post-surgical rehabilitation, and pride myself on the provision of comprehensive care to all my patients and supporting their owners.
